Heading up underwriting departments in Maryland, Illinois and New York since November of 2008, she sets the direction for company risk management. An underwriter since 1980, she spent 20 years at William Penn, its Sr. VP & Chief Underwriter in 2006.
Her education? BA in Business Administration with designations from numerous prestigious groups, she recognizes the importance of keeping current with emerging practices and techniques.
Ronald Cale, Technical Underwriting Director, Principal
He joined Principal I 2016 but worked as a brokerage underwriter for the past 25 years, 20 as Chief Underwriter for the AXA and time at Crump Insurance Services as underwriting assistant. He excels as a technical Underwriter and is well experienced at packaging large and diversified cases.
Betsy Sears, MSM, MT (ASCP)
With 30 years in the insurance laboratory environment, she works closely with ExamOne’s lab operations, R & D, staff on client end-to-end strategic solutions.
Served for 14 years as VP and Laboratory Director of Osborn Laboratories with over a decade in clinical and hospital lab settings in New York and Chicago in microbiology.
Her BS in Medical Technology is from University of Missouri-Kansas City and her Masters in Business Management from Baker.
Tom Farrell, VP of Life Underwriting and Chief Underwriter, Prudential
He assesses risk on high profile life insurance applications, setting underwriting strategy and guidelines, staff training and development, and philosophy marketing to distribution partners.
Since 1983, he’s spent the Majority of his career in compliance, but his primary focus has been support to financial professionals in the New Business Department.
His BA is from Penn State with a major in accounting. He has a host of esteemed industry designations.
